Our Mission
ACT supports the leadership of people with disabilities to fight ableism and build inclusive communities.
Our Vision
ACT envisions a world where people with and without disabilities are valued for their contributions and have equitable access to leadership and power.
Strategic Plan
Advocating Change Together (ACT) has a long history of bringing together Minnesotans with disabilities to advocate for their rights. In the Fall of 2024, ACT began a planning process to refresh its vision for the future and develop a 5-year strategic plan.
The plan is to start promoting and building support for ACT in the short term. As that is being established, that support will be used to strengthen our statewide network. In 2026, Advocating Change Together will look to solidify funding, as well as continue to grow the movement through 2029.

Intersectionality
We all have many identities. They shape how we live. All parts of who we are matter.
Leadership of Those Most Impacted
People most affected should lead. Nothing about us without us.
Anti-Capitalist Politic
People come before profit. Everyone deserves dignity and basic needs.
Cross-Movement Organizing
We join with other justice movements because our struggles are connected.
Recognizing Wholeness
Everyone is a full, valuable person—not just what they can or can’t do.
Sustainability
We care for ourselves and each other so we can keep going.
Cross-Disability Solidarity
We support all kinds of disabilities—seen and unseen.
Interdependence
We all need each other. Helping and working together makes us stronger.
